Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how March Stationery & Print uses and protects any information that you give us when you use our services.

 

March Stationery & Print is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

 

March Stationery & Print may change this policy from time to time in accordance with regulations. You should check from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25th May 2018.

 

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • name

  • contact information, including phone number or email address

  • other information you require us to use when producing your artwork


What is the source of this information?

We collect the information in the following ways:

  • in person or over the telephone

  • by email

We may record the information on a paper job sheet.

 

What do we do with the information we gather?

We use this information to fulfill our contract with you, ie to complete the task, specifically to:

  • Create your artwork

  • Contact you when the job is complete

  • Invoice you


We may use it in the future to contact you about further work you have asked us to carry out.

 

We may also store your artwork or details digitally so that you may request reprints or amendments in the future. This is stored securely on our own servers and our cloud backup service. Artwork may be stored for a period of 10 years and then securely deleted if deemed no longer needed.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Paper job sheets are securely destroyed once the job is complete. Should we need to store paper records in order to carry out further work for you or for reference, these are held securely on our premises and destroyed as soon as they are no longer required.

 

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we store on our servers.

 

Controlling your personal information

You have the right not to provide us with your personal information, but without important pieces of information we will be unable perform the task.

 

You can request that your files be deleted at any time by contacting us by email at sales@marchsp.co.uk or in writing to March Stationery & Print, 5 Fenland Walk, March, PE15 8TW.

 

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. If you would like to obtain a copy of the data we hold about you this can be obtained free of charge.

 

If your details change, you do not need to update us, but if you wish to do so please contact us. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

 

What are your rights under data protection laws?

Here is a list of the rights that all individuals have under data protection laws. They don’t apply in all circumstances. If you wish to use any of them, we’ll explain at that time if they are engaged or not. The right of data portability is only relevant from May 2018.

 

  • The right to be informed about the processing of your personal information

  • The right to have your personal information corrected if it is inaccurate and to have incomplete personal information completed

  • The right to object to processing of your personal information

  • The right to restrict processing of your personal information

  • The right to have your personal information erased (the “right to be forgotten”)

Terms and Conditions

Goods means the articles or things described in the contract between March Stationery & Print [The Company/we/us/our] and the Purchaser.

 

Normal working days are considered to be Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, excluding UK bank holidays or any other scheduled holidays.

 

There may be reduced hours in unusual circumstances such as during government restrictions.

 

These conditions shall be deemed to be incorporated in all contracts of The Company to sell goods and in the case of any inconsistency with any order or form of contract sent by the Purchaser to The Company whatever may be their respective dates the provision of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail unless expressly varied in writing and signed by an authorised person on behalf of The Company.


1.    Notwithstanding that The Company may have given a detailed quotation, no order shall be binding on The Company unless and until it has been accepted in by The Company in the form of an email, or by verbal agreement in person or over the phone.


2.     All times and/or dates are approximate and shall not be binding on The Company. The Company does not deliver to P.O. Box addresses. No liability will be accepted by The Company for delays beyond the control of The Company including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing defects in files or omissions of information, delays in approval of proofs, and non-performance of carriers.


3.    The goods will be available for collection when advised by The Company. If delivered, they shall be delivered to the address originally supplied by the Purchaser to The Company.  If a subsequent delivery address is requested The Company cannot be held responsible if the goods are sent to the original delivery address supplied and may charge a re-delivery fee to another address. 


4.    Our paper is sourced from a number of suppliers on a regular basis and as such may vary in grammage, thickness, reflectivity, brightness, smoothness and roughness. As pursuant to the General Trade Rules (1980) on the supply of paper and paperboard, paper supplied to us may vary in exact grammage, therefore Goods supplied by The Company may also vary in exact grammage.


5.    By their nature, the majority of goods and/or services do not have a redeemable value and no refunds or credits for goods and/or services correctly supplied will be entertained. In the event of goods being returned to The Company by the carrier due to the Purchaser being unavailable to sign, or refusal of the Purchaser to sign, for the goods then a re-delivery charge will apply. In the event that the Purchaser does not wish the goods to be re-delivered, is not prepared to pay the re-delivery charge, or does not contact The Company, the goods will be held for seven working days from the date of return and then disposed of by The Company.

6.    Artwork


a)    Print-Ready Artwork
The Purchaser is responsible for the correctness of all artwork (Print-Ready Artwork) provided to The Company with an order for printing products. By providing artwork to The Company with an order for printing products the Purchaser confirms that the artwork is correct and meets their full requirements, and the Purchaser explicitly authorises The Company to print the artwork as provided. The Company accepts no liability for errors in artwork provided to us for printing.


b)    Artwork Created by The Company
The Purchaser is responsible for thoroughly checking proofs of artwork created by The Company. By approving the proof, the Purchaser confirms that the artwork is correct and meets their full requirements, and the Purchaser explicitly authorises The Company to print the artwork as provided. The Company accepts no liability for errors in artwork discovered after the Purchaser has approved the proof.


c)    The Purchaser may not modify artwork, either supplied by the Purchaser or created by The Company, for an order once that order has entered the Print and Cut Process status. An order will be deemed to have entered the Print and Cut Process once a verbal sign off (in person or over the telephone) or an email sign off has been received from the customer.


7.    Payment


a)    All goods shall be paid for at the time of order, unless an agreement to pay on collection or an invoice/account agreement is prearranged.


b)    No goods shall be dispatched or collection allowed until paid for in full, or according to such invoice/account agreement arranged as specified in 7 a).


8.    Quality

 

a)    Any shortcomings or defects in goods supplied must be notified to The Company within 3 days o


b)    Nothing herein shall impose any liability upon The Company in respect of any defect in the goods arising out of the acts, omissions, negligence or default of the Purchaser, its servants or agents including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing handling and storage of the goods.


c)    Nothing herein shall have the effect of excluding or restricting the liability of The Company:

i.) For death or personal injury resulting from its negligence insofar as the same is prohibited by U.K. statute, or;
ii.) Under sections 12,13,14 and 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 to a Purchaser who is dealing with a customer (as defined by section 12 of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977).


9.    The Company shall not be liable for any costs, claims or damage arising out of any act of tort or omission or breach of contract or statutory duty calculated by reference to profits, income production or accruals or loss of such profits, income production or accruals or by reference to accrual of such, claim, damages or expenses on a time basis.


10.    The liability of The Company to the Purchaser for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature and howsoever caused shall be limited to and in no circumstances exceed the price of the goods.


11.    If the Purchaser shall be in breach of any of their obligations under the contract The Company may (without prejudice to The Company rights subsequently to determine the contract for the same cause should it so decide) suspend further deliveries of goods without notice until any defaults by the Purchaser are remedied.


12.    No statement, description, information, warranty or recommendation contained in any catalogue, price list, advertisement or communication or made verbally by any of the agents or employees of The Company shall be construed to enlarge, vary or override in any way these conditions.


13.    Any concessions made or latitude allowed by The Company to the Purchaser shall not affect the strict rights of The Company under the contract. If in any particular case any of these conditions shall be held to be invalid or shall not apply to the contract the other conditions shall continue in full force and effect.


14.    Upon sight of artwork and at its sole discretion the Company reserves the right to decline to print any item it deems to be inappropriate or non-conforming. Any payments made for work rejected by reason of this clause will be subject to a £10.00 inclusive of VAT administration/cancellation fee and any balance refunded.


15.    If the Purchaser requests cancellation of an order, prior to that order reaching Print and Cut or Order Accepted status, or after a PDF proof being supplied to the customer, then a cancellation fee may apply. Orders which have reached Print and Cut or Order Accepted status may not be cancelled.


16.    The contract shall in all respects be governed by English law and shall be deemed to have been made in England and the Purchaser and The Company agree to submit to nonexclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
